Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2, 2026
These terms govern your use of www.imgcutout.com and the tools on it: the background remover, the PNG creator, the bulk background remover, and the guides (together, "the Service"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
The Service
ImgCutout provides free tools that remove the background from images and export the result. The processing happens in your web browser, on your own device. We do not receive or store the images you process. The Service is provided free of charge and is funded by advertising, as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may add, change, or remove features at any time, and we may suspend the Service temporarily for maintenance or permanently. Because the tools run on your device, their speed and the maximum image size you can handle depend on your hardware and browser.
Your images and your rights
You keep all rights to the images you process and to the results you download. We claim no ownership of them, add no watermark, and place no license restrictions on how you use the output, including commercial use.
Because you supply the images, you are responsible for having the right to use and edit them. Do not use the Service to process images you do not have permission to use, or to create content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights.
Official and regulated uses
The tools include presets for passport and ID photo sizes and for marketplace product images. These presets are a convenience, not a guarantee. Government agencies and marketplaces set their own rules, which change and are applied by human reviewers. For example, many passport authorities do not accept photos that have been retouched, and some do not accept digitally altered backgrounds at all. You are responsible for checking the current official requirements and for the photos you submit. We are not responsible for rejected applications, listings, or submissions.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to create or distribute content that is illegal, deceptive, defamatory, harassing, or sexually exploitative, or that depicts minors in a sexual or harmful way.
- Use the Service to create forged documents or fraudulent identification.
- Interfere with the website, attempt to access systems you are not authorized to access, overload it with automated requests, or attempt to circumvent security measures.
- Misuse the contact form, for example by sending spam or malicious links.
- Click on ads on the site with the intent of inflating ad revenue, or encourage others to do so.
Advertising and third-party services
The Service displays ads served by Google AdSense and may link to third-party websites, such as the official requirement pages cited in our guides. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, products, or privacy practices. Your use of third-party sites is governed by their own terms.
Open-source components
The Service includes open-source software and models, including ormbg, Transformers.js, ONNX Runtime Web, and MediaPipe, which are licensed under their own terms (Apache License 2.0 and MIT License). Nothing in these terms limits your rights under those licenses. A list of components is on the About page.
Guides and information
The guides are written in good faith to be accurate and useful, and are checked against official sources where they cite them. They are for general information only, platform and government rules change, and we cannot guarantee that every detail is current. Always confirm important requirements with the official source.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AI-generated cutouts can contain errors, such as missing details or leftover background, and you should review every result before relying on it. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available in every browser.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ImgCutout and the person who operates it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Because the Service is free, our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to zero, or the lowest amount allowed by applicable law. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you in full.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page and note significant changes in the changelog. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
